Hundreds of academics back self-ID sex question in Scottish census

Ahead of Scotland’s 2022 census, an international team of over 300 scientific experts in quantitative data have written an open letter to National Records of Scotland and the Scottish Government affirming that the census should ask about lived sex.

The publication of the open letter was covered in The Herald on Sunday 4 April 2021.

The open letter is available to read here (PDF).

And as an accessible Word version.
