Rainbow Trap on the Queer Lit podcast.
Iβm a long-time listener of the Queer Lit podcast. Since the early 2020s, itβs been my companion on runs along the Edinburgh-Glasgow canal path where I turn off the world and listen to the ideas of influential gender and sexuality scholars including Marquis Bey, Sara Ahmed, Susan Stryker, Hil Malatino, Kadji Amin, Jack Halberstam and Talia Mae Bettcher (among many, many others).
So it feels a little surreal to now be a guest on the podcast myself. I had the pleasure of speaking with Lena Mattheis about ideas from my recent book, Rainbow Trap: Queer Lives, Classifications and the Danger of Inclusion. Lena is a brilliant interviewer and the conversation was an absolute joy to record.
